Werewolves Roles Guide

Werewolf

Werewolf

In a typical game, werewolves are outnumbered 2 to 1. For example, a 6-player game has 2 werewolves. Their goal is to secretly kill a villager each night while pretending to be villagers during the day. Werewolves win when they outnumber or equal the villagers. This role is challenging as players must lie throughout the game.

Seer

Seer

The Seer, primarily a villager, has the power to "see" who the werewolves are at night. When awakened by the Moderator, the Seer can point to a player, and the Moderator confirms if they are a Werewolf. The Seer can choose to keep this information secret or reveal it during the day, using it strategically to their advantage.

Witch

Witch

The Witch is a villager with the added powers of one potion and one poison, which can be used anytime during the game. At night, the Moderator awakens the Witch to either revive or poison a player. The Witch can use each power once, but only one per night, and must keep their actions secret. They can choose to save their powers for the right moment in the game.

Doomer

Doomer

The Doomer's goal is to get the village to mistakenly vote to kill them, thinking they are a werewolf. If the Doomer is voted out, they win the game, and both the Werewolves and Villagers lose. The Doomer wins alone, making this a tricky role to play with careful deception.

Villager

Villager

The Villager's role is to identify the werewolves by observing and pointing out flaws in others' behavior. They don't need to lie but must carefully watch for signs—talking too much or too little might reveal a werewolf. Success depends on reading the players and knowing them well.

Cupid

Cupid

The Cupid selects two players at night to form a couple. If one member of the couple dies, the other dies as well. This creates a unique bond, adding an extra layer of strategy as both players must work to keep each other alive to survive the game.

Hunter

Hunter

The Hunter has a unique ability—when they die, they can choose to take one player with them. This powerful ability adds an extra layer of strategy, as the Hunter can use their final moments to impact the game and potentially turn the tide.
